| PowerTeam: US Army Special Force, Deep Insertion |
The latest PowerTeam offerings raise the bar on value for your dollar. For $9.99 at KBToys you get a well articulated figure with a lifelike sculpt, a detailed outfit, and an assortment of gear. The figure reviewed here is labeled US Army Special Force, Deep Insertion.
 |
| Balding, Goateed, Pockmarked |
The sculpt is balding, with pockmarked skin, and a goatee. A subtle gold stud is apparent in the left earlobe. This guy has apparently seen some action. He's not some freckle faced kid. The hat and glasses hide some of the best features of the sculpt.

| The Gear |
 |
| Laptop |
 |
| Handguns, Knife, and Manicles |
The gear includes a ridgid styrene laptop fashioned as two halves with working hinges. There also is a revolver with spinning chamber. More lumpish are the knife and slide action handgun. Also included is a field radio with flexible antenna and handset cord. The rifle is ridgid styrene, molded as a single piece. The rifle has an elastic sling with a functional buckle that is connected to real metal split rings. Those rings are free to pivot in the molded plastic ring mounts on the rifle. The manicles shown here are from a $1.95 gear card picked up at the same time.
 |
| Double Jointed Limbs |
The figure itself has double jointed elbows and knees. The range of motion is excellent. The outfit has detailed stitching. The jeans have yellow stitching on the functional pockets that you'll likely recognize from your own closet. There are belt loops, watch pocket, and a snap to close the fly. The vest is double layered, with detailed pocket flaps, but no functional pockets. It uses white velcro for its closure.
