The shining star of this boxed set is the Releasable Assault Vest, or RAV, which is modeled after the 1:1 vest manufactured by Paraclete. In 2000 Paraclete learned of a tragic drowning accident of service members after the helicopter they were riding in crashed at sea. So Paraclete took on the task of designing a vest that could could be quickly disassembled in an emergency. After several months of development Paraclete designed a vest that could come apart with one pull of a "pillow". The "pillow" can be seen on the wearer's right side, viewer's left, in the photo. This vest is also compatible with MOLLE, SPEAR, and TT pouches.

Other redeeming features of the boxed figure include the new comm set-up which attaches to the MICH helmet.
The M203 Grenade launcher with QD mount is also new. The weapon is shown assembled here, but the M203 comes disassembled in the box. Another new item in this boxed set is the lanyard for the sidearm.
Something which deserves honorable mention are the plastic kneepads surrounded by fabric, which are weathered.
Minuses of this boxed set are number one that a hydration system seems to be missing in action. One would think that a Ranger would be carrying some sort of camel back, but there aren't even any canteens included. The M9 magazine pouch was taped on the underside of the plastic like it was an after thought. Also it is molded plastic whilst all other pouches are made of cloth. For the holster, a better choice for this figure would have been the Safariland 6004.
