New Weekend Of Heroes Exlusives From Twisting Toyz!
Today Twisting Toyz posted on various disscussion groups phots and descritions of some new products, one of which will be an exlusive figure for the "Weekend Of Heroes" convention. The figure is an exlusive version of the "Nembo" paratrooper "Ermano", but he is a "Deceima Mas" Swimmer/Parachustist and features some unique webing and equipment. Also featured is a new Italian Berglisari from the RSI period. Looks like some great items coming from Twisting Toyz! [ Visit Website ]

Dragon Announces Three New Figures
Dragon Models Limited unleashed a slew of new releases today, including the announcement of several figures which have been requested by collectors for some time. The figures are a 1st Falschirmjager from Holland in 1940 (with drop container), a figure from 8th SS Florian Geyer Calvery divison, and a sillouete of a Cossack riding on horseback. CH Exlusive Version of German Pupchen Rocket launcher

Dragon VJ Updates
Dragon has added a special "VJ" day update to their site, with hints (blacked out images of) of 3 US Marines. They come in the form of a Wake Island Defender with an M1917 Water cooled MG, Marine from saipan and a Marine Tanker. Also updated on the MDFC section of the DML site is "Sergei" a Russian machine gunner.

Two new Cyber Hobby Exlusives from DML
Universal Models has updated with two new German Cyber Hobby exlusives. A German officer who was chief of Rommels staff in North Afrika, and a 13th SS officer with a rather nifty looking spring anaorak and camo backpack. Check them out by clicking on the link.

Breaking News from Dragon Expo!
I just got back from Dragon Expo, from which I will post my report momentarily, but first I thought I'd share a bit about the figures that Dragon gave us a sneak peak of after the dinner and trivia contest.
Unfortunately no pictures were allowed, but I was told that photos would be posted shortly. The following figures were shown:
Three new DAK figures, all with redesigned tropical uniforms and new insignia, which you will now be able to add yourself.
*DAK machine gunner with folded tripod.
*DAK artilleryman with a range finder.
* DAK Pioneer
* Luftwafe Hauptfeldwebel POW camp NCO with guard dog, wine bottle and an eye patch.
* Pupchen in winter camo and with skis, with a Heer gunner outfitted in a fully reversible winter splinter camo parka.
* Early war Soviet tanker with blue coveralls, and one rather large wrench.
* Somewhat generic but nonetheless good to have Russian light MG gunner with basic 1942-43 equipment load and uniform.
And I saved the best for last, the Sixth Anniversary figure will be....
A Luftwaffe 20mm Flak with luftwafe gunner!
I'll continue to bring updates on any more news that I heard during the show, as well as attempt to post some photos.

DID Finally Unveils Their Zundapp!

DML Announces Special Edition Illya for DX-05
DML has announced a new figure that will be released at DX'05. "Ilya Romanovich Mironov" Soviet Anti-Tank Rifle NCO Red Army Rifles, 1943.
The DX'05 version will come with an Amoeba Pattern Pullover Camo Smock and Pants and an extra non weathered helmet. This figure will also be available later on as a general release without the extra smock and helmet.

1/6th Nebelwerfer from DID!
DID has announced it plans to offer a 1/6th Nebelwerfer with metalic finishings for sale at Weekend of Heroes. Unfortunetly it will be limited to 120 pieces at WOH. It is not clear whether a non exlusive version will be offered or not. Also no word on the suggested retail price yet.

New Russian figure from DID
DID has updated their webpage with pictures of a new WW2 Russian figure, their first non German WW2 release (unless you count the WOH exlusives.)
Also added were pictures of a new SS officer.

New pictures Twisting Toyz Italians
Merit International has posted new pictures of two of the Twisting Toyz Italian figures. The pictures show an Italian Militia man from Italy 1944 and an Italian Paratrooper from Egypt 1942. It's great to finally see a company making this long forgotten member of the Axis powers.
