Combat Controllers and ground combat forces assigned to Special Tactics Squadrons within the Air Force Special Operations Command.These forces are deployed into combat zones to provide Air Traffic Control, Fire Support and Command and Control Communications. As the `eyes and ears` on the ground for the Air Force, their role is a vital one.
