Impressed by Hasbro!

I don't praise Hasbro often, let's face it, they make TOYS, not COLLECTIBLES. However, I'll have to give them kudos for their new Force Recon figure ($20 from Target):

I've only swapped out the primary weapon on the next 3 pics:

The MP5 he comes with still sucks, but then again, I wouldn't let my three-year-old touch my Dragon MP5s (he'll tear them apart in 2 minutes!), whereas I'm sure the Hasbro MP5 will last longer.

But I was most impressed by this:

That's right, the FIRST commercially (cheaply) available lanyard for pistol!

Sure, it's your "basic" Hasbro release, the helmet is okay, the jumpsuit is okay. The vest ain't bad, he comes with new boots and new goggles. Body's super poseable, and headsculpt ain't bad (hey, at least it's not another "peanut head"!) Once again, not Dragon/bbi quality, but for hasbro, it's an improvement.

I was very please to see that his right hand moves up and down, while his left hand moves side to side - the PERFECT combination if you're trying to get your figure to hold a weapon in CQB poses! If you've ever try to get your Dragon figure to hold CQB poses, then you know what I'm talking about! The new bbi G3.5 hands can move left/right and up/down, but this is first for Hasbro. Not to mention the "grips" of the hands are now spring loaded. It "grasp" the weapon automatically!

I was probably most impressed by the fact that, in this day and age where everyone (Dragon and bbi) seems like they have given up, Hasbro actually IMPROVED their products. It's almost like someone from Hasbro who PLAYS with these figures made these improvement, knowing that's what it needs!

Not bad at all...and will even be better once Target put them on clearance! I'll probably getting some more!
