Conversion Corner

I would like to introduce this section of my review as Conversion Corner. In this section I am going to give you some ideas what you can do with your 12" action figures and gear on a historical level.

This segment is going to deal with the 372nd Infantry during WW1. The 372nd was an all US unit made up of Black Americans who wanted to fight for the right of freedom. These men sacrificed their freedom as they were told that if they fought for France they would loose their citizenship. This never happened but it opened the eyes of many during the war as the black soldiers fought just as valiantly as their white counterparts. The 372nd and 371st were part of the French 157th Division. Known as "The Red Hand" division they were commanded by Mariano Goybet a French General.

General Goybet loved the black soldiers under his command as they fought with valor and bravery. He was known to call his black soldiers "My Black Watch". The soldier I prepared is a 1st Lieutenant with the 372nd. Using the Art S. Buck African- American figure I decked him out in the uniform of the Sideshow US Army Officer, Lieutenant AEF 1918 and the gear of the Sideshow French Rifleman.

Only problem I encountered was that the Art S. Buck figures feet are HUGE! Other than that its a good display figure.
